The team of GTZ project under the support of IT expert was developed local information platform – National Information Platform of MFO (NIPMFO), which works online. Based on single local information system of sector it is possible to set up the base standards, which will allow evaluating the efficiency realization of microfinance programs by AMFOT members and defining average financial standard of microfinance sector of Tajikistan.  

By attending at the NIPMFO, organizations can:

1.     -  Receive an information on average financial indexes in dynamics, by size of MFO and regional location (RUDRJ, Khatlon, Sugd, GBAO)

2.    -  Compare the effectiveness of its own activities with other MFOs in peer groups (small, medium, large) for management decisions and achieve better results.

3.     -  Not only to provide the information to external users, but receive automatically processed data and calculations of financial indexes by a single method, to avoid confusion of concepts, distortion of financial condition and improper comparison of MFOs.

4.      -  Demonstrate transparency and achieved results to all interested sides.

5.      -  Attract donors, investors and creditors.

6.      -  Promote to creditors to conduct preliminary analysis of MFO.

7.      -  Use as alternative to their own web site.

8.      -  Promote the concept single source electronic reporting of MFO to all interested authorities. MDO “Bovari va hamkori” according the agreement with AMFOT can conduct an express analysis of MFO by using the NIPMFO, which will decrease the time of both sides.

Should be mentioned that NIPMFO will resolve the issue of standardization of financial index calculation. By comparing own data with data of other MFO within the peer group, you can be sure it have been calculated by single methodology. Before development of NIPMFO to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of its activity with similar size and operating conditions of the MFOs from other countries. Moreover, no one could guarantee the correctness and accuracy of the calculation of indicators, as sometimes information on indicators gathered from various sources may be different from each other. Therefore the calculation results can be distort and comparative assessment of MFOs whould be more subjective.

The NIPMFO allow to tract the development dynamic of MFO how internal also external users.  This is possible because the data entered into NIPMFO regularly, and possibly will be changed in the format and reporting  structure will not be changed significantly. So NIPMFO help MFO to: 

- First, to save time and money. Entering the data will take 20

- Second, will not bother the staff on correct calculation of financial indicators

- Third, promote to managers, investors and creditors to tract the development tendency.

- Fourth, by chance of increasing the number of MFO at the NIPMFO, MFO can tract their indicators in one column and the indicators of other peer group MFOs at the other column.

- Fifth, 24 hour access to system from any place of the world.

Currently 12 MFO are registered at the NIPMFO.
